Friend, Today is an incredibly special day in the midst of our 75th Anniversary year. You see, it was October 10, 1949 when Mary Cariola officially opened the doors to what is now the Mary Cariola Center. Back then, children with intellectual developmental disabilities were traditionally institutionalized. Mary would have none of it! Mary Cariola Center has grown into a preschool, school age program, and a residential program. Mary would be proud as we employ nearly 700 people, serve over 450 students/residents, and continue to impact our community. In just three weeks, we will celebrate that special day in October 1949, and you, your family, and your friends are invited to Party Like It's 1949! SPECIAL NOTES This is a FREE event for all to come. Appetizers and soda are FREE. Stay for a little, or stay for a while - the Lovin' Cup will be open to anyone wanting to celebrate the 75th Anniversary from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with activities, trivia, time capsule fun, raffles, music, food, and so much more! This is the party of the year - you don't want to miss it! |
