THE SUNSHINE IS BACK AND BRIGHTER THAN EVER!
After a year where our largest annual fundraiser, Walking on Sunshine, went virtual, we are glad to say that our 13th annual Walk is back in-person with more excitement, activities and fun than ever before!
Expect to see new fundraising incentives and a photo contest, along with our popular family activities area and the usual great food, fun and entertainment!
Join us at Veterans Memorial Park in Penfield on September 19th as we raise much-needed funds for special programs and services in our schools and residences.
We are taking precautions to keep all participants safe, but if you prefer to walk on your own in honor of Mary Cariola, we'd love to see pictures of your walk posted on social media throughout the weekend!

HOW YOUR FUNDRAISING MAKES AN IMPACT AT MARY CARIOLA CENTER
Mary Cariola Center has a rich tradition in providing innovative programs to individuals with complex disabilities and a myriad of services to their families.
SCHOOL
We provide the youngest of students a solid foundation of learning, while older students follow an educational curriculum and learn life skills while working towards their Certificate of Completion.
RESIDENTIAL AND RESPITE
We offer a variety of support to individuals and their families: six residential homes, day and community habitation services and therapeutic and medical respite services.

SPECIALTY SUPPORT SERVICES
A team of highly-trained clinical therapists work with students and residents. A variety of medical experts offer dental, psychological, neurological, podiatry and other medical consults in a comfortable school setting.

SHIRT PICK-UP
You will receive an awesome Walking on Sunshine t-shirt for every $25 you donate! Shirts will be available for pick-up the week of the Walk on the following dates:
Tuesday, September 14th, 3-6pm
Thursday, September 16th, 3-6pm
The pick-up tent will be located in the Highland Park gravel parking lot facing South Ave. The entrance is next to Mary Cariola’s Elmwood campus - look for the Walk signs! If you are unable to get your shirts at these times, they will be available at the registration tent at the Walk.
PRIZES
Start your own fundraiser, or form a team! The more you raise, the more you receive.
Individuals who raise:
- $500 receive a $50 gift card
- $1,000 receive a $100 gift card
- $2,500 receive a $250 gift card
The Top 5 teams who raise $5,000 receive a $500 voucher for a party of their choosing.
